Dermaquest Chemical Peel
A fully customized chemical peel designed to exfoliate, brighten, and target acne, pigmentation, and early signs of aging. Safe, effective, and built for real results—starting with proper skin prep.
What Is It?
This fully customized peel treatment uses professional-grade acids to exfoliate, brighten, and renew the skin. With over 19 options to choose from, each peel is tailored to your skin type, concerns, and goals—whether you're targeting acne, pigmentation, texture, or early signs of aging.
Peels are performed as part of a series, gradually building results while keeping your skin barrier protected. A prep period with specific homecare is required before your first treatment to ensure safety and maximize results.
Expect clearer, smoother, more radiant skin—plus long-term improvement with each session.
The Prep:
To get the best results and protect your skin:
- Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanner for 1–2 weeks before your peel
- Discontinue retinoids, exfoliants, and certain actives (AHA, BHA, benzoyl peroxide) 5–7 days before treatment
There is mandatory skincare that needs to be done 2-6 weeks prior to your first peel depending on your Fitzpatrick. Which is why a consultation or booking a “Peel Prep Treatment” is a must!
What to Expect During the Treatment:
- Once the peel solution is applied, you may feel a light tingling, warmth, or prickling sensation on the skin.
- Some peels may create a tightening or stinging feeling that lasts a few minutes, but it is very manageable.
- The intensity depends on the peel chosen lighter resurfacing peels feel gentle and refreshing, while stronger corrective peels may feel more active.
- The sensations typically subside quickly as the peel is neutralized or absorbed.
- Afterward, your skin often feels refreshed, clean, and tighter, sometimes with a healthy glow even before the peeling
What to Expect in the Downtime:
- Light redness or sensitivity immediately after treatment (similar to a mild sunburn)
- Depending on the strength, you may experience flaking or peeling for 3–7 days
- Skin may feel tight or dry during this time
- You must avoid picking, scrubbing, or exfoliating until peeling has resolved
- SPF is non-negotiable your new skin is more sensitive to the sun
- Results continue to improve over the following weeks, and series treatments build transformative change
